Some of us are old enough to remember when literally everything took about 4 weeks to ship.

My couch is arriving in 4 weeks and company gave us a $200 gift card in apology after telling us it would take 4 weeks when we bought the thing. I-this instant gratification is really doing something to us. I know I sound like a grumpy old woman but it is ok to wait for things if it means fellow human beings are treated fairly.

I’ve added more information to the bottom of my gfm page. My goal for this fundraiser is to clear my debts ($7200) leaving me $8000 for a lease payment and one, maybe two months rent, while feeding myself, paying my phone bill, transit costs, and saving money for the upcoming months rent. Over the next four months on my own I will only have $950 that isn’t strictly for debt and that has to be spread against phone, food, and transit costs, in addition to finding me housing somehow. It’s completely impossible without crowdfunding.

I feel discarded and powerless, I’m in no condition to work even part time. A food delivery job would be ideal but I can’t drive and I don’t have a car. I’m studying hard so hopefully this is an avenue I can go down, those are all things I’ll have to figure out how to do in the next 4-6 months.

This campaign has raised roughly $1,000 and that is an overwhelming amount of support for people who I know can’t be much better off than myself. Thank you. Your donations are all I have and are literally my lifeblood and I don’t see a way forward without them. I also especially want to thank people who’ve reached out to offer words of emotional encouragement and support. They mean the world to me <3

TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY AND I COULDN’T BE HAPPIER WITH WHERE I AM WITH THIS!

With support from everyone on tumblr my gofundme reached $3500 before my birthday! Thank you so much for this incredible milestone, which has been enough to keep up with my monthly debts, buy back my phone following the end of my contract, and I’m one payment short of being free of a debt that was literally $1600 a month ago. I’m so overwhelmed.

I’ve gotten the help I needed with my housing application, now I’m just waiting for an appointment with my doctor to finish the supplemental application. Hopefully the time spent on the waitlist isn’t more than 6 months, but we’ll see. I still have about $3500 left of just debt to cover, and while I’m fairly sure it’s possible by winter, I’m much less confident about being able to raise any money for rent, which is why I’m so eager to get this application in.

I do have some upcoming expenses that I could use immediate help with, both medical. I owe my doctor $160 for my last physical, and I have to pay over $130 out of pocket for work on my molar. I also need to have both of my front teeth removed, one which I’ll have to pay for partially out of pocket because it is considered complex. This will cost between $320-$400. I’m not sure yet but I’ll make shorter post updating on the situation. Donations can be added to the gofundme, or sent to my paypal
